Botox
Botox toxin is a chemical toxin produced by bacteria, that when purified and used for medical purposes can temporarily reduce facial wrinkling. Botox is injected into the small muscles of the face to temporarily paralyze the muscles, in turn minimizing the wrinkles in the overlying skin. This paralysis usually last 3-4 months. Botox Toxin is also used to treat excessive sweating of the hands, feet and armpits. Botox Toxin is sold under the trade names Botox and Xeomin. It is a cosmetic procedure that is not covered under insurance.
Microneedling
SkinPen Precision Microneedling is an advanced form of dermal restructuring that uses tiny needles to create micro-injuries in the skin. These micro-injuries stimulate collagen production at the cellular level stimulating new cell growth during the wound-healing process. It helps reduce fine lines and improve the appearance of wrinkles by stimulating the formation of new collagen fibers. The result is visibly improved texture, tone, firmness and elasticity.
